McDATA Enhances Service Business with Servigistics Implementation

Data access solutions provider opts to bring service parts management in-house

Servigistics, the leading strategic service management solution provider announced today that McDATA Corp. (Nasdaq: MCDTA/MCDT), the leading provider of data access solutions, will implement the Servigistics solution across its global service parts network.

With more than $36 million in global service parts inventory, McDATA will use the Servigistics solution to improve service part forecast accuracy and performance analysis, enabling the company to enhance customer service levels while reducing inventory costs.  McDATA chose to expand its use of Servigistics across its entire service operation instead of outsourcing in order to achieve global visibility and maximize performance.
