Avaya and Sun Microsystems strategic approach to service management yields world-class results and recognition

Avaya’s winning “Data & Integration Mastery” project successfully integrated field demand and inventory across a single network. As a result, service levels increased to 95 percent and Avaya reduced inventory by $90 million. Sun Microsystems’ winning project yielded the “Operational Excellence” Award. With the assistance of Servigistics, Sun basically re-engineered its entire approach to service. The strategic service management solution transformed how Sun serviced clients and the Service License Agreements. Now Sun can offer better service with fewer people and fewer parts.
